How to care for a Farsh product
Each of our products is handmade, with attention to the smallest detail. Subtle differences between pieces are natural—this is what makes each piece unique.
Natural leather – natural variations
We use high-quality, full-grain leather, dyed and finished exclusively with plant extracts. This allows the material to age beautifully—it may slightly change color over time, which is completely normal and adds to its character.
No impregnation, but with care
The leather was properly protected during production, so it does not require additional impregnation. However, it is important to treat it gently to ensure it lasts as long as possible. Bends or creases may appear over time—this is a natural process resulting from use.
Cleaning
It is best to remove dirt with a soft, cotton cloth—dry or slightly dampened with warm water. It is important not to soak the leather. After cleaning, it’s a good idea to gently pat the surface dry.
Water and heat – be careful
Natural leather doesn’t like moisture. Contact with water, or even rain, can leave permanent marks. If the product gets wet, gently pat it dry with a soft cloth and leave to dry at room temperature – away from radiators and dryers.
Also, avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or heat sources – this may affect its shape and color.
What not to do?
Do not use any chemicals, solvents, or detergents to clean the leather. Do not store heavy objects inside – they can deform the shape and damage the material.
Storage
To maintain the product’s shape and freshness, store it in the fabric bag included with your order. Stuffing the interior with a soft material (e.g., tissue paper) will additionally protect it from deformation.
Metal Elements
Over time, slight scratches, patina, or abrasions may appear on the metal finishes. This is completely natural – a sign of the authenticity of the material and its use.
Beware of Light-Colored Fabrics
Before the product comes into contact with light-colored clothing or fabrics, wipe it with a dry, cotton cloth – for safety’s sake.
